Por momentos, algunos diálogos me resultaban interesantes y mi curiosidad podía más que mis ganas de enviciada lectura.
Una conversación entre dos pre-adolescentes y la madre de una de ellas, fue la primera en llamar mi atención por el volúmen de las voces.
Una de las chicas, insistía casi con berrinche, en que la dejara bajar en Morón y a la madre sólo se le escuchaba decir, con mucha falta de dulzura: "Dejate de romper la pelotas, Mélani".
Al escuchar ese nombre, y sentir los chillidos de esa chica, intenté volver a enfrascarme en la nota titulada Resistencia y Ushuaia: vivir con y sin pobreza, pero me resultó imposible.
Por mucho interés que una parte de mi cabeza demostrara en la nota, en la otra seguía dando vueltas ese nombre horrible, y junto con él preguntas sobre el origen del mismo. ¿De dónde habría sacado su madre (o tal vez su padre, si tenía) ese nombre? ¿Tendría otro más que la rescatara de ese destino de estar a medio camino entre un nombre yankee y uno latino (por decirlo de alguna manera)? ¿Tendría la mala suerte de llamarse también Évelyn o Jésica? ¿Tendría un hermano que la molestara día noche por su gracia?
Cuando me dí cuenta del grado de boludeces sobre las que estaba reflexionando, me reí de mi misma, me cebé un mate, y perdí la vista en lo naranja que se estaba volviendo el cielo hacia el oeste, en la misma dirección en la que se escapa otro tren.
Sin darme cuenta, pasó casi una hora y cuando empecé a sentir un poco de frío, levanté campamento y di por terminado mi ritual.
Pero como mi cabeza no se desprende tan fácilmente de las cosas que se le ocurren, antes de cerrar el ventanal se preguntó: ¿Se habrá bajando en Morón?
